- KRISTEN BIAGINI -
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER & OWNER
An artist at heart, Kristen began her design career early on rearranging furniture while babysitting for family friends. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of New Hampshire and a short stint in the business world, Kristen went back to school to follow her heart and pursue a Master’s in Interior Design from Drexel University.
After 10 years as a Commercial Design Studio Director in a large Architectural firm, Kristen moved South to slow things down a bit. She started to teach Interior Design but felt the urge to go back to work in the field and Kristen Biagini Designs was created. No job was too small or too large and this is still our motto today. Kristen oversees all design projects to ensure they reflect our vision for designing livable and beautiful spaces. Kristen’s strengths lie in her attention to detail, endless inspiration, relentless work ethic and unparalleled energy.
Kristen lives on Amelia Island with her husband, two daughters and labradoodles. In her free time, she can be found doing lunges in the parking lot or driving between the golf course and the riding barn chasing her active girls.

- SARAH RICHBURG -
SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER | While teaching nearly 10 years ago, Kristen and Sarah met and instantly formed a connection based on a mutual respect for each other. Now, nearly a decade later Sarah has joined the KBD team as design lead on all Interior projects in the firm working side by side with Kristen to continue to grow the KBD brand. Prior to landing at KBD, Sarah spent over 5 years honing her skills and learning from one of the most notable firms in the South, James Michael Howard. Sarah brings an incredible sense of balance and refinement to everything she does, from detail millwork drawings, to her love of textiles and finishes. Sarah’s personal drive and incredible worth ethic coupled with her meticulous nature sure keeps us all on our toes at KBD not to mention a lot tidier in the studio!
When not a work, Sarah can be found working in her yard with her husband and 3 dogs or spending time with her family enjoying the outdoors.
- FE LAVINO -
JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER | Technically speaking, Fe found us, but we like to think it was destiny that brought us this wonderful design spirit just when we needed one. A native of Brazil, Fe brings a fresh and unique approach to design cultivated by years of European and South American influence. Her aesthetic is extremely refined, and she assists on all aspects of daily operations in our firm.
When not working on client presentations, she can be found knee deep (literally) in our resource library, assisting on a client install or drafting the thousands of details that go into each our projects. We are lucky to have found Fe who resides here on Amelia Island with her husband and two young children.
- ADRIANA JOHNSON -
JUNIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER | Adriana joined our team in 2015 in a very organic way as she knew she was a fit for our team long before we did! Adriana does whatever we need to support our projects and always with smile and positive attitude. She tackles any task large or small necessary to support the unique needs of each of our customers. She is our clutch player and has that critical role in any thriving design office that includes all tasks from order management to installation coordinator not to mention, our day time DJ.
Adriana is a local, native Amelia Island beach lover and all that it implies. She can be found scheduling a KBD team Yoga session or chasing her twin boys. One of her best traits is that she loves snacks and much as we do!!
- MELISSA MORGAN -
OFFICE MANAGER | We all have that person who makes life a little easier and that person at KBD is Melissa. She is our day-to-day operations / manager / human resource operator / bookkeeper and most importantly, receipt catcher! Melissa handles all the finances and manages to organize the tremendous amount of ordering and shopping we do on a daily basis. She greets each day with a smile and a can-do attitude.
Melissa, a resident of Amelia Island is often found volunteering with her husband and three children to make the lives of others’ a better place. Just don’t try to find her during football season as this die hard War Eagle family packs up the camper and the kids to hit those home games at Auburn as much as possible!
